Understanding Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches - Course Assessment

Unleash your classroom potential with inclusiveness and cutting-edge learning approaches in this free online course.

Understanding Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches

Do you want to enhance your teaching skills and create a more inclusive classroom environment? In this course, you'll learn the secrets of inclusive education and the significance of digital literacy, including the best teaching approaches for every learning situation. Additionally, we'll show you how to engage and motivate learners, devise schemes of work, communicate effectively with students and evaluate your teaching performance.

Teaching and learning are about sharing knowledge, experiences, and emotions through communication. With the right approach, anyone can gain a deep understanding of a subject or acquire new skills through teaching. However, ineffective teaching methods can lead to confusion and impede the learning process. The good news is that the skills and strategies for effective education can be developed and refined through practice, patience, and a willingness to learn. In this course, we'll teach practical techniques to connect with learners and deliver top-notch teaching and learning. We introduce you to inclusive education, its approaches, principles, benefits and key features. We then examine the types of teaching styles, such as didactic instruction, group work and more. You'll learn about literacy, numeracy, digital literacy and its importance, how technology can overcome learning barriers and why English and mathematics are essential for career progression.
Every teaching approach has its strengths and limitations. However, strategically employing any teaching method can help you to be more impactful in your teaching. We'll show you the strengths and limitations of various teaching techniques and how these meet individuals' differing needs. You'll explore the three main learning preferences of students. Learners can easily lose focus and interest in learning without explanation. How can they be inspired to learn? You'll discover the strategies you can implement to engage and motivate learners and acquire valuable insights on how to structure your subject's teaching, learning, and assessment logically and systematically.
How can you be sure that learning has occurred? Merely asking, ‘Do you understand?’ after teaching your students is often insufficient to determine whether they have understood the material. Proper assessment is required. We'll examine the two forms called formative and summative assessments. We'll explore communication types, their barriers and Berne's transactional analysis theory. As the name suggests, inclusive education aims to develop creative approaches that foster an environment conducive to students' engagement and learning. You can deliver high-quality education by implementing effective teaching techniques and designing an environment that promotes student learning and participation. We have created this course for all professional teachers or learners themselves. If you want to boost your teaching skills and deliver quality teaching, do not hesitate to enrol and start this course immediately!
